Book Description: Inspired by an actual 1895 French railway disaster. A train departing from the Normandy coast, with a female bomb-toting anarchist aboard. Convincing portraits of many of the real-life passengers, plus a few who could have been there, vignettes in the various carriages provide a tension-filled panorama of fin-de-siecle French society. Come along for the ride!  

The Literature Group offers members an international perspective in literary fiction by introducing acclaimed, if sometimes lesser known, writers and books. Members are invited to attend by Zoom, although we request that only those who have read the book participate in discussion.
