STEP INTO A WORLD OF INTERESTING IWA PROGRAMS

Our programs and activities are designed to promote cross-cultural dialogue, global understanding and, of course, friendship!

IWA's programming encompasses a wide spectrum of cultural and educational programs from countries around the world including topics such as art, science, architecture, history, and current events. Some examples include: The History of the Silk Roads, Women of Egypt, European Renaissance Art, Handmade Paper Making in India, History of the Acropolis Museum, Backpacking through Nicaragua, Eating Wild Japan and much more.

Most programs are free of charge and are open to every member. Offered several times per month, IWA programs and activities are conveniently presented either in the IWA office, the broader Chicagoland area, members' homes, or on Zoom.

The following cross-cultural programs are offered at IWA:

  • Programs that focus on international topics led by a professional or local expert
  • Special interest programs throughout the Chicago area – visits to places of interest such as museums and cultural neighborhoods
  • International Dining

Discussion and activity opportunities are also available including:
