In ancient China, Jade was regarded as the most precious stone as well as a symbol of good luck, prosperity and success. In fact, it was so highly valued that it resulted in a saying that goes “Gold is valuable while Jade is priceless.”
Jun Wan is the Scholar and Consultant of Asian Art Department of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Jun is one of the first 15 certified Jewelry Appraisers in China. She has 30+ years of experience on Jadeite identification, appreciation, marketing, and collector education. Plus 8 years experience as head of jewelry department of Chinese top arts and antiques auction company.
Important Note:
Please arrive at 10:30 a.m. sharp to arrange entrance. (Some IWA members may have Art Institute membership, which allows two admissions.)
Tour starts promptly at 11:00 am. Once the tour has started, no late admission.
