Speaker: Dr. Samuel Refetoff is a Bulgarian born physician-scientist, professor of medicine, pediatrics and genetics at the University of Chicago. A world-renowned expert on the thyroid, he has published hundreds of papers, received numerous national and international prizes, three honorary doctorate degrees and two MERIT awards from the National Institutes of Health. He has one of the largest referral centers for genetic thyroid disease in the world.
