A Visit to Four Shipwrecks - from 1965 to 1545
Through seeing historical artifacts and underwater photography taken by IWA member Carol Sommers, learn about three shipwrecks in the Straits of Mackinaw and King Henry VIII’s flagship, the Mary Rose, which was raised and is in Portsmouth, the UK. A shipwrecked sailor’s account of the ordeal as told by his son to Carol and viewing artifacts which show what a sailor’s life was like in the 1500’s make history come alive.
